Heel Spurs and Painful Feet Back to Healthful Hints |
|
If you are suffering from heel spurs, plantar fascitis (fasciitis), or pain in the soles of your feet, then perform the following two exercises for 10 minutes on each foot every day. These exercises can easily be performed as you sit in your chair watching T.V., etc.
Massage the soles and particularly the bottoms of the arches by moving your foot over a golf ball. Use moderate pressure but do not make it painful. This exercise will stretch the tendons, ligaments and fascia of the bottoms (plantar) of the feet – thus reducing pain and discomfort.
With a small pile of marbles or pebbles, pick up one marble at a time only using your toes and create a second pile. This exercise also stretches the tendons, ligaments, and fascia of the soles of the feet.
